Wait a minute!   Are you sure you should be here?   Maybe you shouldn't read anymore.   It really is too sad and miserable.   If you like happy endings, push the back button right now.  Be quick!

My name is Phoebe and I am sorry to say that this homepage is about A Series of Unfortunate Events, a series of so-far 8 books (sadly there's going to be 13!) written by Lemony Snicket.
I hope you enjoy this page but it's very very unlikely as there's so much misery to talk about.
If luckily you have never read one of these books go now while there's still time.

The Baudelaires are 3 rich orphans who never live happily ever after.   Their parents die in the first chapter of the first book and from then on their luck is bad, very bad.   The person who looks after their money - Mr Poe - sends them to a different guardian in every book.   Their guardian in the first book is Count Olaf and he is very mean to them because all he wants is their fortune.    I won't tell anymore of the story in case you mistakenly choose to read the books.

Fortunately, my life is a lot happier than the Baudelaires - click here to read about my favs etc.

Violet is the oldest Baudelaire sibling and she is 14.
She likes to invent things and when she needs to think up inventions she ties her hair up in a ribbon to keep it out of her eyes.

Klaus is the middle Baudelaire. He is 12 and an avid reader. He finds solutions to their problems in books.

Sunny is the youngest Baudelaire sibling. She is an infant who likes to bite things and has her own language.  She says very meaningful things which only her siblings and Lemony Snicket can understand.

Count Olaf is a very distantly related to the Baudelaires.  Mr Poe made him their guardian
in the first book but he was very mean.  He is very evil and tried to trick Mr Poe and everyone else.

For Beatrice -
My love for you shall live forever.
You, however, did not.

This is the strange and funny dedication in
The Reptile Room. There is one like it in every
book in the series. But, who is Beatrice?
Click on the question mark to see a picture of
Beatrice from the Lemony Snicket website.

Who is your favourite Baudelaire sibling?   Violet, the oldest?   Klaus, the only boy?
Or is it Sunny, the little monster with the four sharp teeth?

Dear Reader,
If I were you, I would immediately turn your computer off rather than view any of the dreadful images, read any of the wretched information, play any of the unnerving games or examine any of the unpleasant books presented within this website.

This is how the Lemony Snicket web site begins. If you dare, click here to have a look at it.

I like the books - they are very funny.
